Position Overview

The Warehouse Operations Leader plays a crucial role in assisting the Warehouse Manager with the daily activities necessary for achieving operational excellence. This position emphasizes the effective utilization of department leads to coordinate tasks efficiently, ensuring optimal daily output aligns with the planned schedule. Strong leadership capabilities are essential to manage workflow requirements, including training, monitoring, and continuously enhancing processes to meet both customer and organizational objectives. As a dynamic and expanding company, effective communication in both English and Mandarin is vital to surpass our goals in picking, packing, shipping, and distribution, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee, instruct, and monitor operations throughout the warehouse to proactively address process challenges, focusing on achieving a 100% completion rate daily. Measurable KPIs
  • Assist the manager in staff scheduling to fulfill customer needs, implementing necessary adjustments to workflow documentation, and ensuring the accuracy of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate and execute the activities of picking, packing, shipping, and receiving teams to meet daily operational targets while adhering to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Enhance workflow and quality of operations to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Recommend and implement strategies for process improvements within the warehouse.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts as issues arise.
  • Initiate cross-training and new processes to enhance inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Act as a liaison between staff and management to communicate activities, challenges, and proposed action plans.
  • Maintain inventory control functions within the AX system.
  • Prioritize and manage staff assignments according to the management's strategic plan.
  • Observe, maintain, and complete standard operational procedures.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Assist in other areas as required.
  • Support expediters and pickers to ensure efficient completion of work orders.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to maintain stable operations.
  • Be flexible to work various shifts as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is advantageous.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume distribution environments.
  • Proven supervisory and managerial experience.
  • Able to make quick decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Capable of multitasking and quick learning.
  • Experience operating forklifts, preferably stand-up models.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience using rolling safety stairs.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
