JOB SUMMARY: This role is pivotal in collaborating with various business units throughout the organization, utilizing strategic planning methodologies for effective project execution. Regular reporting on project progress, challenges, and risks to the appropriate management channels is essential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and sustain comprehensive project management documentation, including project charters, deployment playbooks, implementation strategies, training guides, risk mitigation plans, and executive status reports that encapsulate all aspects of the initiatives.
  • Engage with all project team members and resource managers to ensure continuous updates on their tasks related to the project plan, from the ideation phase to the delivery of a production-ready solution to the deployment team, ensuring project readiness.
  • Oversee task coordination and resource allocation within IT as necessary, based on project responsibilities for relevant areas.
  • Organize tasks for the deployment of solutions in a lab environment, providing onboarding and training support for application owners throughout the project delivery lifecycle to facilitate a seamless transition.
  • Collaborate with database, network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and privacy teams to design requirements, development inputs, testing, and deployment tasks, ensuring compliance with the minimum standards set by these teams.
  • Establish robust communication strategies by scheduling regular meetings with stakeholders to update them on project status, associated issues, and risks, while ensuring timely deliverables with cross-discipline team members.
  • Provide guidance and work in tandem with Business Analysts to document business requirements, test scripts, process flows, standard operating procedures, and perform system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Formulate implementation and testing strategies.
  • Create standard operating procedures and coordinate the handoff for the long-term maintenance and support of the solution.
  • Take responsibility for overall financial management of initiatives, including Budget to Actual analysis, Monthly Estimates to Complete, and assembling Total Cost of Ownership, Return on Investment, and Capital Planning efforts for proposal presentation to business units.
  • Ensure that external vendors and consultants meet the criteria outlined in the Statement of Work, Service Level Agreements, and Key Performance Indicators designated for the projects.
  • Execute other job-related functions as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an IT-related position.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a project management or similar role.
  • Experience with system/application implementation.
  • Familiarity with the cruise line industry is preferred.


COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Willingness to travel as required based on project demands.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the deployment of initiatives.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and sound judgment to ensure timely project completion and resolution of issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Suite, Clarity, LucidChart, JIRA, and other project management tools.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines by setting appropriate expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
