Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Project Engineers in tracking and analyzing the financial performance of construction projects.
  • Supervise project inspection activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and contractual obligations.
  • Engage with stakeholders including the public, government entities, contractors, and subcontractors to address inquiries and resolve issues on-site.
  • Delegate specific tasks to inspection personnel and ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Inform contractors of any non-compliance issues and necessary corrective actions.
  • Monitor project timelines and alert relevant parties about potential overruns and critical issues.
  • Evaluate project-related challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Manage administrative duties related to projects, including contract reviews, scheduling, project accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing and communication materials for the company.
  • Review project plans for feasibility and bidding processes.
  • Represent the firm at community and business meetings.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of new project proposals.
  • Assist in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Foster positive relationships with contractors, vendors, and consultants.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years of engineering experience in relevant transportation projects for candidates with degrees in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • For candidates without relevant degrees, a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience in CEI or roadway/bridge construction is required.
  • Experience with FDOT projects.
  • Possession of active certifications as required by clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with a generally sedentary nature. Occasional standing and walking may be required. The work environment is comfortable, with adequate lighting and temperature control.
