The Sales/Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, creating new customers, and meeting or exceeding sales quotas while continuously striving to improve profitability. The individual will work on a cross-functional level with sales, customer service, and accounting teams, involving product sales, inventory, logistics, and credit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Provide product recommendations, prepare price quotations, and educate customers on material features and benefits.
- Play a pivotal role in resolving technical and processing issues by working closely with vendors and customers.
- Regularly travel (up to 30%) to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical knowledge of materials such as Polypropylene, ABS, Polycarbonate, Nylon, and other engineered resins is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
