Position Overview:


Are you ready to take on the role of a dynamic Social Media Strategist? This full-time, year-round position is situated within the marketing division at Boyne Mountain Resort.

The specialist will design and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the distinctive brand identity while actively engaging consumers and driving revenue across various segments of the resort through innovative imagery and compelling copy.

This role encompasses the management of all resort-related content for social and display advertising, as well as support for marketing and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties (including but not limited to):

PRIMARY FOCUS:
Become the face of the Boyne Mountain brand through regular on-camera engagements. Foster online audience interaction with high-quality content on a daily basis.

Formulate a social media strategy and act as the social media authority for the resort; investigate and disseminate key trends and emerging platforms; comprehend the competitive landscape, consumer mindset, and business requirements to inform relevant social strategy and execution.

Develop scripts, shot lists, and creative concepts for video edits based on campaign goals. Capture video footage for use in social media, web vlogs, and other marketing materials. Edit raw footage into a polished final product that meets objectives. Short clips (seconds) may be required on the same day as filming. Camera equipment, including drones, will be provided.

Oversee the asset library (Image Relay) to ensure timely organization and uploading of assets.


Collaborate with the Digital Content Manager to curate and manage timely photo and video shoots for promotions, seasonal transitions, activities, events, and branded content.

Edit and curate images and videos that reinforce the Boyne Mountain brand and lifestyle.

Conduct social media measurement; metrics, tracking, and reporting.

Nurture online relationships with customers and ensure all consumer inquiries/comments on social channels are addressed promptly.

Create weekly blog content that aligns with the brand, utilizing keywords for SEO optimization and promoting the services and activities available on-site and locally to enhance the resort's communication and marketing reach.

Assist with external communication tasks related to daily snow reporting via the website conditions page.

Collaborate with company leaders, marketing colleagues, and other key stakeholders to support website design and content marketing.

Stay informed about the latest trends and changes in UI/UX and digital marketing to ensure our content remains relevant.

Propose innovative projects that attract prospects and convert leads.

Experiment with new content strategies to capture existing demand.

Ensure consistency and integrity in our company's brand and brand guidelines.

Qualifications:
Job Qualifications & Desired Skills

Demonstrated photography and videography experience - portfolio required.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred.

Passionate about the ski, snowboard, and outdoor industry with the ability to carry camera equipment while skiing/riding.

Certified FAA Drone Pilot License and flight experience desirable, but not mandatory.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills, including drone operation.

Familiarity with social media platforms and social analytics.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sprout Social, web content management systems, Microsoft Office, and blogging platforms preferred.

Exceptional writing and editing skills with a proven ability to create unique and engaging copy.

Creative and innovative thinker with the capacity to distill complex topics into unique, data-driven, and actionable content.

Understanding of SEO, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement.

Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects, plans, and deliverables.

Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, highly productive, and collaborative environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and travel to conferences, sponsored events, and expos.
