Position Overview:

As an Administrative Support Assistant II, you will play a vital role in facilitating the operations of an administrative unit or academic department. Under general supervision, you will engage in a variety of clerical and secretarial tasks that require sound judgment and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively, setting your own work agenda while assisting others in prioritizing their tasks.
  • Coordinate clerical activities and provide guidance and training to colleagues in established processes.
  • Utilize your judgment to navigate varied assignments, interpreting policies and procedures to devise creative solutions.
  • Perform reception duties, including document filing, answering phone calls, and drafting correspondence.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of experience in general office clerical or secretarial work.

Required Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • A typing speed of at least 50 C.W.P.M., with the ability to pass relevant skills assessments.
  • Thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures, and the English language.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • The capacity to learn and apply complex policies independently, identifying any deviations as necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

Compensation:
The salary range for this classification is between $3,338.00 and $4,913.00 per month, with an hourly range of $19.26 to $28.34. Compensation will be determined based on internal equity and relevant experience.

Work Status:
This position may be full-time, part-time, temporary, hourly, on-call, or intermittent. A pool of qualified candidates will be established for current and future vacancies.

Conditions of Employment:
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a background check and possess a valid Driver's License. Additionally, this position is classified as a 'mandated reporter' under applicable laws.
