Position Overview:
As a Licensed Midwifery Specialist, you will operate under the guidance of the supervising OB/GYN attending physician, ensuring seamless patient care and optimal patient flow. This role emphasizes the importance of delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
The Licensed Midwifery Specialist will engage in a full spectrum of care, including round-the-clock in-house coverage. You will work collaboratively within a healthcare framework that allows for physician consultation and referral based on patient health needs. Your administrative accountability lies with the Vice President of Patient Care, while clinical responsibilities are directed towards the supervising OB/GYN attending physician, OB Section Chief, and Maternal Child Services Director.

Qualifications:
1. Possession of a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license from the California Board of Registered Nursing.
2. Certification as a Nurse Midwife from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and BRN.
3. Successful completion of an accredited midwifery education program recognized by the ACNM.
4. Current, unrestricted DEA license in California.
5. Valid, unrestricted liability insurance coverage of $1M/$3M with an approved insurance provider.

Certifications:
• Current ACLS Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• Current NRP Certification
• Designated Collaborating RCH Medical Staff Member with a Written Collaboration Agreement
• Participation in ongoing unit-based education and drills as required.
