Job Overview

LTD Global is seeking an Electronics Engineering Associate to join our team in Berkeley, California. As a key member of our scientific research facility, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing cutting-edge electronics systems for our Department of Energy project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with engineers to create moderately complex AutoCAD 2D cable diagrams and generate Quality Assurance documentation to support assembly instructions for these cable designs.
  • Technical Coordination: Work closely with the DOE project Electrical Subsystem Groups to determine design approaches and parameters, analyze equipment, and evaluate results.
  • Project Management: Coordinate, specify, and purchase hardware for Department of Energy project related jobs, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for the accelerator and beamline electrical and electronics systems, including design proposals, specifications, installation instructions, and schematics.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Provide technical input and apply standard principles, theories, and/or concepts in the development of new methods and concepts, and contribute to the management of cost and schedule for Department of Energy project electronic projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a functional specialty closely aligned with the relevant program, along with extensive related professional technical experience, is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Solid foundation in CAD design techniques, design rules, and specifications, as well as experience with AutoCAD or OrCAD, and proficiency in basic computer skills, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Project, Google Workspace, Zoom.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with scientists and engineers in defining goals and contributing to their realization, and excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will be required to lift 10-20 lbs and may be required to climb or balance on ladders/scaffolding, etc.
