Position Title: Guest House Coordinator

Location: OHSU Rood Family Pavilion

Schedule: Flexible shifts available, including full-time and part-time options.

Compensation: Starting pay at $20.29 per hour

We operate multiple Ronald McDonald Houses and hospitality programs throughout the region, ensuring that families have the resources they need during difficult times. Role Overview:

The Guest House Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to families staying at the OHSU Rood Family Pavilion. This position involves working collaboratively with a team to create a warm and welcoming environment for guests, managing check-in and check-out processes, and coordinating community volunteer efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for guests, addressing their needs during their stay.
  • Facilitate connections between guests and available community resources and in-house programs.
  • Ensure that family support resources are well-stocked and communal areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Welcome and manage both individual and group volunteers.
  • Assist with the Meals from the Heart program by coordinating with volunteer meal groups and maintaining food supplies.

Additional Duties:

  • Provide room reservation assistance as needed.
  • Participate in on-call duties as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Uphold security and emergency protocols for all staff, volunteers, and guests.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Work Environment:

This role primarily takes place in an office setting, with potential attendance at events that may occur indoors or outdoors. Physical requirements may include lifting items up to 30 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of one year in a customer service, social service, healthcare, childcare, or hospitality role is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to engage with diverse individuals, including guests, volunteers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
