Role SummaryWe are expanding our cybersecurity engineering team and seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to play a vital role in protecting our systems and data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cybersecurity methodologies and a drive for innovative security solutions. Your responsibilities will include safeguarding our infrastructure against threats and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and oversee security protocols to protect computer systems, networks, and sensitive information.
- Define and enforce system security requirements and standards.
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure components.
- Develop technical solutions and security tools to address vulnerabilities and automate processes.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security evaluations.
- Manage network security systems, including intrusion detection and prevention.
- Analyze security logs to identify potential issues.
- Update and enhance security systems as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance on security matters to team members.
- Collaborate on authentication, authorization, and encryption strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies.
- CISSP certification.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
- Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Solid knowledge of network technologies and security configurations, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Familiarity with cloud security and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex security issues effectively.
- IAT Level II/III certification.
- Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and CompTIA Security+.
- Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of Agile development practices.
- Experience with cloud identity and access management tools.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $111,000, determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, and certifications.
Education Requirements1+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree, or an Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience, or a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience.
Clearance RequirementThis position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship and agreement to undergo a background check.
