Role Summary

The Vice President of Technology Operations and Incident Response is integral to the operational and client service framework at Wedbush. This role encompasses strategic oversight, ongoing enhancement, and the management of daily technology incident responses. The VP will lead a dedicated team in addressing technology-related incidents that affect various operational areas, ensuring effective communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the complete incident management lifecycle, from detection through resolution and subsequent analysis.
  • Assess and categorize incidents based on their severity and impact on business functions.
  • Collaborate with internal IT departments and external service providers to ensure timely incident resolution.
  • Keep all relevant parties updated with regular communications regarding incident status and resolution efforts.
  • Implement and maintain incident management systems and tools to enhance process efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for significant incidents and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Revise and maintain incident management policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide support and direction to IT teams during incident management activities.
  • Analyze incident trends to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Work in conjunction with other IT service management functions, such as problem and change management, to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in IT incident management or a similar role within the IT and financial sectors.
  • A comprehensive understanding of ITIL incident management processes and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with incident management tools and systems.
  • Experience with IT service management software, such as ServiceNow.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
