Job Summary

The Front Desk/Administrative Customer Service Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact at Alsco Uniforms' corporate office. This role is essential in delivering outstanding service by managing customer inquiries through phone and email. The Coordinator will guide customers to the appropriate department or location.

This position is based in our corporate office and reports to the General Manager - Building and Administrative Services.



Essential Functions

  • Welcome all visitors and staff upon entering the facility.
  • Handle incoming calls and screen customer inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or branch.
  • Collaborate with branch personnel to resolve customer issues.
  • Document customer interactions, detailing concerns and resolutions.
  • Follow up with customers to confirm their issues have been addressed.
  • Assist the accounting team with data entry and accounts payable as required.
  • Provide backup support to the administrative assistant and mailroom functions.

Additional Functions

  • Offer general office support, including file maintenance, data entry, supply ordering, and invoicing.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding telephone etiquette, showcasing professionalism, patience, and active listening.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, 10-key, and MS Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in reception or customer service preferred.

Typical Environmental Conditions:
Indoor office environment.

Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel by car or plane for training opportunities.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical demands include prolonged sitting, typing, walking, standing, hearing, seeing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Must perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without reasonable accommodation, without posing significant safety risks to oneself or others.
