About the Role

As a Patient Services Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming Patients: Greet patients, determine the purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Check in patients, properly document registration, and schedule, cancel, or reschedule appointments as needed.
  • Insurance and Demographics: Verify patient insurance and demographics, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Payment and Collections: Collect co-pays and cash from patients, obtain authorization on credit cards, and enter payments into the computer system.
  • Medical Records: File and retrieve medical records, perform copying and faxing duties, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Communication: Answer webchat inquiries in a timely manner, providing clear and concise responses to patient inquiries.
  • Adherence to Policies: Practice and adhere to the Mission, Vision, and Values Statement, as well as all Sacred Circle Health Care policies and procedures.
  • Office Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including patient waiting areas, office, and files.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in a customer service or reception position, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Skills: Efficient knowledge of office equipment, ability to handle multiple priorities, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
