Position Summary
The Civil CAD Technician plays a crucial role in the preparation of civil engineering drawings utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D CAD software. This position is essential for ensuring that all drawings meet established standards and protocols for various stages of project development, including leasing, permitting, and construction. The technician will support multiple teams by creating, managing, and updating a diverse range of drawings with a strong focus on detail and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide CAD drafting and design assistance to Project Managers and Engineers throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of civil infrastructure and land development projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to convert mark-ups into precise drawings, verify and plot drawings, accurately label final working documents, and revise contract drawings and specifications as needed.
  • Execute CAD services in alignment with company standards and practices.
  • Participate in field activities to collect essential project data.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all work to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain regular communication with Project Managers, Engineers, and Surveyors to facilitate project success.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or completion of a CAD technical education program.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Experience in design and drafting is preferred.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while drafting.
  • Capability to utilize major hand functions for CAD software and other applications.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $40,000 to $60,000 per year.
