The Director of New Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth and expansion. This strategic leader will be responsible for developing and executing a vision for sustainable and profitable new business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership and stewardship of New Business Development, situated in the Commercial Organization.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to capture Interstate Batteries' fair share of new business.
  • Deliver aggressive growth in new business, reporting directly to the SVP, Commercial.
  • Lead a team to achieve new business results consistent with annual and long-term goals.
  • Ensure accountability by holding self and others accountable for delivering commitments.
  • Develop talent by mentoring and coaching team members to meet both their career goals and the company's objectives.
  • Drive innovation by creating new and better ways for the organization to succeed.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, inspiring team members to perform at a high level.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years of B2B/commercial sales experience
  • Top performer with a track record of leading large-scale businesses and teams
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and business development skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple opportunities
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work and travel independently on a sustained basis
  • Self-motivated with an acceptable driving record
