Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for managing and overseeing financial aspects of projects, including the preparation of requisition forms and liaising with clients and internal teams regarding collections and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage monthly requisitions and payment applications in alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Generate invoices and maintain change order documentation.
  • Monitor and address outstanding issues related to assigned projects.
  • Compile and produce cash management and forecasting reports for senior management review.
  • Organize and maintain billing job folders for easy access and completeness.
  • Conduct analysis of job costs and assess profit/loss for projects.
  • Engage regularly with clients and internal staff regarding collections and billings.
  • Collaborate with Project Management on billings, change orders, and financial analysis.
  • Review and prepare necessary waivers and tax certificates.
  • Prepare Certified Payroll, Insurance, and M/WBE reports as needed.
  • Actively participate as a team member, addressing all accounting matters related to assigned projects.
  • Support the Director of Project Accounting, Controller, and CFO with various accounting tasks.
  • Consistent and reliable onsite attendance is a critical aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in project accounting, particularly with subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint by Vista construction ERP software is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and work independently.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $120,000, complemented by Local Union 3 ADM benefits.
