Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for firmwide billing, financial operations, and assisting the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in opening new projects in our financial management system.
  • Prepare and process monthly invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Create and distribute month-end billing reports to senior management and project leaders.
  • Prepare and format timesheets for review and approval.
  • Review timesheets for accuracy and completeness before posting.
  • Enter and post cash receipts, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate files and documentation, adhering to company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as needed, working under general supervision.

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in accounting or finance, with 2-4 years of experience in billing or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles.
  • Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint experience is required.
  • Experience in the A/E/C or design industry is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary range: $76,860 - $80,500 (Denver) and $73,500 - $76,950 (Miami). The final compensation will be based on individual qualifications, experience, and cost of living.
