POSITION SUMMARY

This role involves supporting the management, leadership, and operational functions of a retail outlet and donation center through various responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Travel to various retail locations as required.
  2. Collaborate with District Manager and Store Managers to enhance operational and leadership capabilities essential for the Store Manager role.
  3. Oversee activities through verbal, written, and physical communication to ensure financial performance aligns with organizational goals by managing sales, production, expenses, payroll, personnel issues, accounting, merchandising, loss prevention, and staff development.
  4. Assist the Store Manager in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new employees.
  5. Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and development in their roles, including mandatory orientations and training sessions.
  6. Verify daily sales reports and cash transactions; ensure timely deposits and adherence to agency policies regarding reporting.
  7. Coordinate product shipments and make necessary adjustments to maintain adequate inventory levels to meet sales objectives.
  8. Manage store opening and closing procedures, including administrative tasks such as bank deposits and securing the premises as directed by the Store Manager.
  9. Handle customer refunds and address complaints, ensuring prompt and courteous service to customers and donors.
  10. Supervise the processing of donated goods to maximize sales potential in line with established guidelines.
  11. Organize merchandise by color and category according to set standards.
  12. Perform duties of store personnel as needed.
  13. Foster a positive sales team environment through effective communication, incentives, and performance evaluations.
  14. Report any known or suspected security issues to the Store Manager or other management personnel.
  15. Oversee store staff and activities in the absence of the Store Manager, following established supervisory protocols.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

Supervise store personnel in the absence of the Store Manager or District Manager, executing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies. This includes assisting with recruitment, training, work assignment, performance appraisal, employee recognition, and addressing employee concerns.

ADDITIONAL TASKS

Identify and report the need for repairs and maintenance of the building and equipment to the Store Manager or relevant directors.

Complete other job-related tasks as assigned by the Store Manager or higher management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, with a minimum of two years of retail management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance, and reliable transportation.
