Central Research Institute (CRI) is seeking a qualified Finance Operations Supervisor who will play a pivotal role in shaping and assessing corporate strategies alongside the VP of Finance and Accounting, as well as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Finance Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily functions and management of the finance and accounting division, ensuring the integrity of control systems that safeguard company assets and deliver precise financial outcomes. This role requires effective collaboration across all organizational levels, positioning the Finance Operations Supervisor as a trusted advisor to senior management. Key responsibilities include providing the Executive Leadership team with essential financial insights, conducting operational analyses, and fostering a culture of accountability within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the finance team at the Lowell, AR office to guarantee the effective operation of systems, databases, and accounting protocols.
• Ensure the implementation of robust internal controls and compliance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations and financial practices.
• Conduct thorough analyses and research on existing financial data to meet management's requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial and management reporting data.
• Support month-end closing processes, including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocations.
• Develop and supervise accounts payable and billing personnel.
• Act as a primary liaison for executives and managers.
• Prepare and present weekly cash flow reports to the CFO.
• Utilize predictive models to offer financial insights regarding the organization's strategic plans and operational budgets.
• Stay informed on best practices in auditing as well as state, federal, and local regulations impacting company operations.
• Oversee weekly cash management and review significant payables for accuracy and authorization.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
• 3 years of experience collaborating with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related matters.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a 5C Suitability clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Over 10 years of direct financial management experience in federal government contracting, with a comprehensive understanding of various government contracts, including cost-plus.
• CPA candidacy is advantageous.
• Practical experience and knowledge of the financial aspects of the Service Contract Act (SCA).
• Experience in organizational development, human resources, and program operations.
• Familiarity with DCAA incurred cost submissions and audits.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exceptional data analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of DCAA Policies, Procedures, and Compliance.
• Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint accounting software.
