Graduate Coordinator for Academic Support Programs (Temporary / Part-time)

Academic Support Services

St. Edward's University is seeking candidates for the role of Graduate Coordinator for Academic Support Programs. This part-time administrative position is focused on the development, management, and coordination of support services, including Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring Services. The Graduate Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing supplemental instruction, which includes hiring, training, managing, and evaluating student leaders in this area.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree and be enrolled in a graduate program. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in data tracking and reporting, as well as the ability to make informed decisions with professional discretion. The role requires effective time management in a dynamic environment, along with a high level of organization and attention to detail. A professional demeanor and a commitment to fostering a positive work atmosphere are crucial. Candidates should be capable of working independently while also valuing teamwork. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across campus are necessary. A commitment to diversity and an appreciation for multicultural perspectives are expected. Availability to work some evenings and weekends is required. A successful completion of a background check is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the Supplemental Instruction schedule while overseeing administrative tasks such as attendance and time logs.
  • Lead the recruitment and training of student staff, conducting individual meetings and group training sessions.
  • Evaluate student leaders by attending Supplemental Instruction sessions and providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with faculty to identify suitable Supplemental Instruction leaders.
  • Manage requests for Tutoring Services effectively.
  • Promote academic support services to faculty, staff, and students through active campus engagement.
  • Prepare statistical reports and assessments for program evaluation.
  • Contribute to the Student Worker Professional Development committee to enhance training for student workers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
