Job Summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as a Senior Course Coordinator. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of academic programs and a ability to provide exceptional support to instructors, students, and faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional support to OnRamps Instructors, including developing and implementing professional learning institutes, providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring, and facilitating network building among instructors.
  • Develop and oversee systems to monitor curriculum implementation, ensuring fidelity to the OnRamps four pillars, and provide feedback to students as needed.
  • Ensure the grading mechanism approved by the Instructor of Record is executed with fidelity, including grading and/or supervising grading of college credit assignments, calibration, quality assurance protocols, and other intensive assessment activities.
  • Utilize data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions, employing a data-driven decision process that guides professional learning, instructor and student support, enhancement proposals, and daily workflows.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align work and collectively serve the OnRamps mission.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, instructional design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional support, academic program coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional support, academic program coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education, with a focus on academic program coordination and instructional support.
  • Direct experience with curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment methods.
Working Conditions

This position requires up to 5% travel throughout the state of Texas, ongoing weekend and evening work to support course implementation, including during summer, spring, and fall professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $70,000 + depending on qualifications.
