Graduate Coordinator for Academic Support Programs (Temporary / Part-time)

Department Overview

St. Edward's University is seeking candidates for the role of Graduate Coordinator for Academic Support Programs. This part-time administrative position is essential for the development, management, and coordination of academic support services, including Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring Services. The Coordinator will oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of student leaders involved in supplemental instruction.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree and be enrolled in a graduate program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in data tracking and reporting is essential, along with the ability to exercise professional discretion and independent judgment. Candidates must thrive in a dynamic environment, exhibit strong organizational skills, and maintain a keen attention to detail. A commitment to fostering a positive workplace atmosphere and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are crucial. Strong customer service skills and the capacity to build professional relationships across campus are also required. A demonstrated appreciation for diversity and multicultural perspectives is essential. Availability for some evening and weekend work is necessary. A successful completion of a background check is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the Supplemental Instruction schedule while overseeing administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and timesheet management.
  • Lead the recruitment and training processes for student staff, including conducting individual meetings and group training sessions.
  • Evaluate student leaders by attending Supplemental Instruction sessions and providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with faculty to identify suitable Supplemental Instruction leaders.
  • Monitor and respond to requests for Tutoring Services.
  • Promote academic support services to faculty, staff, and students through active campus engagement.
  • Prepare statistical reports and assessments for program evaluation and improvement.
  • Participate in the Student Worker Professional Development committee to plan and assess training for student workers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
