Your Role:

As a key member of the Glad/Brita Business Unit Supply Chain Technical Team, this position serves as an engineering authority primarily focused on Glad Blanket Bag Conversion technology and related proprietary systems. The engineer will work in close collaboration with Operations, R&D, and the Clorox Supply Chain Central Engineering Team to improve capabilities and optimize manufacturing efficiency across Glad and Brita facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the Conversion Platform, leading initiatives such as the management of change program, theoretical rates standards, line capability assessments, and equipment specification communications.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for projects executed within the platform.
  • Support manufacturing by troubleshooting new or complex issues related to Conversion systems and proprietary technologies.
  • Lead engineering efforts for trials and tests in partnership with R&D and other Supply Chain engineers.
  • Engage with the Glad Extrusion Platform Team and Operations to identify quality and performance enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with R&D and others to define and review project scopes, equipment systems, control systems, and cost estimates for Conversion projects.
  • Occasionally act as the capital project manager, overseeing project scope, costs, schedules, and procurement while ensuring adherence to Clorox engineering standards.
  • Design and implement trials in manufacturing plants to validate alternative materials or methods aimed at cost savings and quality improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in manufacturing and engineering roles, showcasing progressive expertise and capability.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management or team leadership, including managing external resources and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across various organizational levels.
  • Engineering Skills: Strong mechanical and process engineering capabilities, with a focus on leading engineering design and evaluating equipment performance.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to organize and lead meetings and cross-functional teams.
  • Independence: Ability to plan and execute work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Quality Standards: Experience in executing work that meets established quality standards.
  • Travel: Willingness to undertake periodic business travel as required.

Work Environment:

This position requires a fully onsite work model.
