Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and improve the manufacturing processes for compressors globally.
  • Design, develop, and install new production lines and equipment
  • Standardize existing production processes and implement global Bill of Process (generation and global roll-out of work instructions)
  • Implement and improve existing Bill of Process
  • Standardize the CMM measurement process and write and test corresponding programs for all new products in close contact with Product Engineering department
  • Create quality-related documentation for developed processes (PFD, PFMEA, PCP, etc.)
  • Support the release of new products and production processes (PPAP)
  • Support the implementation of single piece traceability and industry 4.0 related topics such as auto-compensation
  • Support VAVE projects as well as outsourcing activities and related supplier quality audits
  • Support the implementation of Production Excellence (MPS - MAHLE Production System)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5 or more years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Process Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Able to communicate in written and verbal form within all levels of the organization
  • High English skills required
  • Additional 2nd language helpful (German, Chinese, Spanish, or Portuguese)
  • International travel up to 20%
  • High CMM Programming Skills (Zeiss Calypso)
  • Good knowledge of APQP disciplines, PFMEA, Process Flows, Control Plans and SPC as well as related programs (e.g. Q-Das, Scio Plato etc.)
  • AutoCad Knowledge for Layout and Equipment design reviews helpful
  • Good knowledge in validation processes at supplier facility and MAHLE manufacturing plant
  • Excellent knowledge of machining processes (CNC, programming, cutting tools, fixtures etc.)
  • Good knowledge of surface treatment, impregnation and washing processes
  • Experience with measurement system analysis and related programs (e.g. Minitab)
  • Experience to design, debug and validate new process or production lines for new projects
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including GD&T
  • Ability to manage time and organize effectively with multiple projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a global team environment
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, process and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong intercultural know-how
