Job Title: Sr Machining Engineer

At Mahle, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr Machining Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes for compressors globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development: Design, develop, and implement new production lines and equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Process Standardization: Standardize existing production processes and implement global Bill of Process (generation and global roll-out of work instructions).
  • Process Improvement: Implement and improve existing Bill of Process, standardize the CMM measurement process, and write and test corresponding programs for all new products.
  • Quality Documentation: Create quality-related documentation for developed processes, including PFD, PFMEA, PCP, etc.
  • Product Release: Support the release of new products and production processes (PPAP).
  • Industry 4.0: Support the implementation of single piece traceability and industry 4.0 related topics such as auto-compensation.
  • Supplier Quality: Support VAVE projects as well as outsourcing activities and related supplier quality audits.
  • Production Excellence: Support the implementation of Production Excellence (MPS - MAHLE Production System).
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience: 5 or more years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Process Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Communication: Able to communicate in written and verbal form within all levels of the organization.
  • Language: High English skills required, additional 2nd language helpful (German, Chinese, Spanish, or Portuguese).
  • Travel: International travel up to 20%.
  • Skills: High CMM Programming Skills (Zeiss Calypso), good knowledge of APQP disciplines, PFMEA, Process Flows, Control Plans, and SPC, as well as related programs (e.g. Q-Das, Scio Plato etc.).
  • Software: AutoCad Knowledge for Layout and Equipment design reviews helpful.
  • Validation: Good knowledge in validation processes at supplier facility and MAHLE manufacturing plant.
  • Machining: Excellent knowledge of machining processes (CNC, programming, cutting tools, fixtures etc.).
  • Surface Treatment: Good knowledge of surface treatment, impregnation, and washing processes.
  • Measurement System Analysis: Experience with measurement system analysis and related programs (e.g. Minitab).
  • Project Management: Ability to manage time and organize effectively with multiple projects.
  • Global Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: Strong analysis, problem-solving, process, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Intercultural Know-How: Strong intercultural know-how.
