Senior Violence Prevention Educator

University of Massachusetts is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Violence Prevention Educator to join our team as a Community Outreach Expert. This role is a senior position within the Community Education department, focusing on developing and delivering innovative violence-prevention initiatives that cater to the needs of campus and community stakeholders.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in the community by designing and implementing effective outreach campaigns, materials, and programs using multiple media platforms. As a Community Outreach Expert, you will be responsible for overseeing compliance with grants and outside funders, including tracking grant requirements and managing reporting processes. You will also assist with grant development and create, manage, and maintain systems to manage administrative tasks using technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in program leadership, including strategic planning and program evaluation to ensure compliance with goals, needs, and funding.
  • Design and disseminate responsive violence-prevention outreach campaigns, materials, and programs using multiple media platforms.
  • Oversee compliance with grants and outside funders, including tracking grant requirements and managing reporting processes.
  • Assist with grant development.
  • Create, manage, and maintain systems to manage administrative tasks using technology.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse group of volunteers and interns.
  • Travel within campus worksites and the greater community to provide support, administer programming, and transport materials and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with mandates and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of campus and community stakeholders to meet stated goals.
  • Provide SASA-related support services.
  • Participate in organizational initiatives, programs, and services.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in a related field, including education, public health, higher education, or communications, and 1 year of experience designing or delivering outreach programs to adult or college-aged learners; or a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience designing or delivering outreach programs to adult or college-aged learners.
  • A valid driver's license and access to transportation.
  • Dynamic facilitation and education skills across in-person and virtual platforms.
  • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based curriculum and experience applying design best practices.
  • Easily adopt emerging technologies with solid experience using Canva, Photoshop, or a comparable program; Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Teams, Google Suite, or comparable software.
  • Exceptional capacity to seek, understand, and incorporate feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and improve work systems using technology.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $83,450 - $124,450 per year, based on the title, job description, and location. This salary range is based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
