Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

Role Overview: This position involves providing patient care under the guidance of a Registered Respiratory Therapist across various respiratory therapy modalities. Responsibilities include assisting staff with patient care, performing limited administrative tasks, and executing duties as outlined by the NC Respiratory Care Board. You will contribute to the quality of care by demonstrating proper orientation, competencies, knowledge, and skills in each area.

Qualifications:
  • Required Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
  • Required Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
