Job Summary and Qualifications
The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing support, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional healthcare experience.
About the Unit:
PMPC:
A 23-bed pulmonary stepdown unit, featuring 15 high-acuity and 8 lower-acuity beds, dedicated to telemetry pulmonary patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage telemetry, Bipap therapy, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, wound care, and IV maintenance.
- Monitor renal patients and provide post-operative care.
- Experience with ventilator patients is beneficial but not mandatory.
Job Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire.
Preferred Education:
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
Required License:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
Required Certifications:
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
Preferred Certifications:
- National certification in specialty area.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
