Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Educator enhances professional practice and ensures high-quality patient care by delivering evidence-based educational programs and activities that foster professional competency among nursing and clinical staff.

  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and healthcare personnel.
  • Facilitate orientation programs to enhance employee retention.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine educational programs based on feedback and evaluation.
  • Design and implement educational activities targeting specific practice gaps for healthcare personnel.
  • Plan educational content that promotes active engagement and learning.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices to continuously enhance care quality.
  • Encourage participation in research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Identify strategies for ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Utilize a novice-to-expert framework to support staff development and skill mastery.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related clinical field.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice or an active compact state license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care environment.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or a related clinical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical education.
