Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Materials Testing Engineer to join our team at BOESH ENGINEERING & TESTING P. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting materials testing activities, with a focus on concrete, asphalt, soil, and other construction materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Materials Testing: Conduct comprehensive materials testing on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, and other related materials. Perform tests in accordance with industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and integrity of construction materials by performing detailed analysis and testing. Verify compliance with project specifications and standards to meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Testing Procedures: Develop and implement testing procedures, protocols, and methodologies to ensure accurate and reliable results. Utilize advanced testing equipment and instrumentation to perform various tests, including compression tests, moisture content analysis, density testing, and particle size distribution analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze test data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and clients based on test results and analysis.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, precision, and consistency of testing procedures and results. Maintain calibration and maintenance schedules for testing equipment and instruments to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate materials testing activities with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient completion of testing requirements. Communicate testing schedules, requirements, and results to project teams and clients as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to materials testing and quality assurance. Stay current on relevant regulations, codes, and standards to ensure adherence and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials testing, quality assurance, or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in testing methodologies and procedures for concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, and other construction materials.
  • Proficiency in testing equipment and instrumentation, including compression machines, sieves, moisture meters, and density gauges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret test results and provide technical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
