Description: We are currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical subassemblies and integrating them into advanced assemblies utilized in semiconductor testing equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with electrical or electronic components, including modules, circuit boards, wiring harnesses, machined parts, and commercial fasteners.
  • Adhere to repetitive production standards, requiring manual dexterity and electro-mechanical skills.
  • Utilize electrical assembly hand tools such as crimpers, cutters, drivers, and soldering tools, along with mechanical assembly tools like hand drills and wrenches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret BOMs, Work Instructions, Travelers, Blueprints, Routers, and Engineering Change Notices, including modifications and designs.
  • Assemble complex mechanical components, following engineering blueprints and assembly sequences with precision.
  • Conduct fitment and inspection of assemblies to ensure compliance with required specifications.
  • Assemble complex electrical components, applying problem-solving skills with accuracy.
  • Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components in cabinets and enclosures to achieve full functionality.
  • Cut wires to specified lengths using wire cutters and soldering tools.
  • Crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends using hand or machine crimping devices.
  • Route, comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wires to terminal points according to layout specifications.
  • Perform functional and continuity tests on electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and plugs using various electrical testing instruments.
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical tests on finished products prior to packaging.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Complete additional tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity for assembling electrical or mechanical parts efficiently and accurately.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to read and follow electro-mechanical assembly drawings, procedures, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and software.
  • Attention to detail and ability to retain communicated information.
  • Effective communication skills to relay information to colleagues and supervisors.
  • Understanding of when to seek guidance from superiors.
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and twist frequently.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
