Job Overview:


The Treasury Governance and Control Analyst oversees a portfolio of governance and control functions for moderately complex or high-risk business areas, implementing policies and initiatives to adhere to governance and control standards.

Acts as a technical lead on critical control initiatives.

Scope of Responsibilities:
This role requires a highly experienced professional with extensive business knowledge in a complex field and an understanding of related areas.

Integrates knowledge of the overarching strategy of the enterprise sub-function or business line to develop solutions across various functions or operations.

Ability to collaborate effectively and foster relationships across teams and functions.

Interprets internal and external business challenges and industry trends, recommending actions and best practices to enhance products, processes, or services.

Acts as a technical expert, integrating cross-functional understanding within their specialty; may oversee teams of related specialists.

Leads cross-functional projects with significant resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
Independently manages comprehensive functional programs.
Solves complex problems and guides others in developing innovative solutions.
Works autonomously as the lead and mentors others in their area of expertise.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience.
Advanced understanding of business operations and knowledge of risk and control functions.
In-depth knowledge of governance, risk, and control procedures, strategies, and tactics.
Awareness of current and emerging market trends.
Ability to set goals and objectives that support the execution of multiple teams.
Ability to influence the direction of the function and provide guidance to the team and leadership.
Ability to lead, plan, execute, and assess project activities to ensure successful completion of initiatives.
Proficient in mentoring and performance management.
Skilled in analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques.
Proficient in using computer applications, including MS Office and industry standards.
Strong communication skills in both oral and written forms.
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions.
Ability to function effectively as part of a team and drive team performance.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize tasks while meeting multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with US Treasury regulations.
Operational Risk Management (controls testing, business continuity).

Customer Responsibilities:


Contributes to the strategic direction of the governance and control function and plays a vital role in developing and implementing risk strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.

Develops and documents a comprehensive inventory of processes and controls with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

Participates in the evaluation of applicable regulations, assessing their impact on the business line, and mapping associated controls to rules and regulations.

Reviews end-to-end processes and controls, identifying connections across issues and control deficiencies to enhance standardization of solutions.

Leads the execution of policies, procedures, and changes across multiple functional areas.

Provides direction for complex, wide-ranging enterprise or cross-functional projects as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), identifying risks and providing guidance for intricate situations while participating in the design, testing, and implementation of solutions.

Acts as a lead in their area of specialization, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends, identifying issues and opportunities, and advising senior management in the governance and control domain.


Shareholder Responsibilities:
Ensures that programs, policies, and practices are effectively managed, meeting business needs and complying with internal and external requirements.
Exercising discretion in managing communication and confidential matters.
Leads research projects and supports the development of materials and presentations for management or broader audiences.

Conducts analysis at the functional or enterprise level, using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and assess the effectiveness of programs, policies, or practices.

Adheres to enterprise frameworks or methodologies related to activities across businesses and functions.

Manages relationships within and across various business lines, ensuring alignment with enterprise and regulatory requirements.

Protects the organization's interests by identifying and managing risks, escalating non-standard, high-risk transactions as necessary.
Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by processes aligned with risk appetite.
Knowledgeable of and compliant with the Bank Code of Conduct.

Team Responsibilities:
Participates as a team member, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring timely communication.
Provides leadership as a Subject Matter Expert and engages in knowledge transfer within the team or business unit.
Stays informed on emerging trends and developments, enhancing knowledge of the business and related tools and techniques.
