About the Role

Fifth Third Bank, N.A. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Banking division, you will be responsible for driving profitable business growth and developing trusted relationships with senior executives of large companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities through centers of influence, existing clients, and referral sources.
  • Portfolio Management: Work with internal partners to analyze, evaluate, and develop tailored relationship strategies for each client or prospect.
  • Client Experience: Meet with customers regularly to enhance the trusted advisor relationship and ensure business needs are being met.
  • Credit Excellence: Analyze financial information to determine credit requests and partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers to ensure credit exposure is at an acceptable risk.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of Commercial Banking experience, with 9 years of relationship account management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, commercial credit training, and underwriting experience.
