Position Overview
As an Electrical Engineer for New Generations Project at Solvenow Inc., your primary role will be to facilitate the successful execution of cutting-edge generation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical authority for New Generation Projects, acting as the principal liaison with Owners Engineers to assess project documentation and integration.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers on intricate subjects, ensuring clarity and understanding of potential impacts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical specifications, comprehending the project scope and the interconnectivity of systems and processes.
  • Enforce compliance with design engineering standards, interpreting design intent in relation to technical specifications, operability, maintainability, and safety.
  • Assist Contractors and Construction Coordinators in accessing existing plant documentation to facilitate design and installation tasks.
  • Conduct and coordinate engineering inspections of new equipment and materials, ensuring adherence to manufacturer requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate engineering walkdowns and various technical inspections requested by Contractors.
  • Participate in system walkdowns and the generation of punch lists.
  • Develop plans and specifications, perform analyses, and provide reports on tasks related to the design and construction of new facilities or the operation and maintenance of existing ones.
  • Engage in resolving equipment and operational challenges, which may involve field investigations, inspections, and detailed checks of design computations.

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of complex tasks, often extending beyond assigned duties. You will apply advanced skills across multiple areas, resolving intricate issues that affect business operations both internally and externally. Your decisions will carry significant weight in policy and strategy matters.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide comprehensive guidance, instruction, and training to enhance designs, systems, processes, procedures, schedules, and costs.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage conflicts to deliver solutions that maximize synergies, always aiming to do what is best for the company.
  • Take independent action, make informed recommendations, and assist management in addressing elevated issues.
  • Influence engineering, design, procurement, contracting, estimating, construction, and startup processes to optimize project outcomes.
  • Ensure project teams adhere to the latest Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Site-Specific Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Create and update engineering standards, policies, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • May engage with regulatory bodies and government agencies as needed.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced team members, directing the technical complexities of their work.
  • Plan, prioritize, and lead assignments effectively.
  • Serve as project or case manager in developing, facilitating, and implementing metrics, processes, and procedures.
  • Meet with stakeholders regarding zoning, subdivision projects, building projects, and engineering regulations.
  • Deliver technical presentations to elected officials, boards, commissions, the public, and staff.
  • Focus on operational and tactical aspects of the organization while maintaining some strategic focus.
  • Guide junior engineers in project completion.
  • May act as a liaison with other departments and organizations.
  • Define quality requirements for engineering designs and projects.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards and policies.
  • Conduct surveys to gather field data and prepare visual aids such as schematics and drawings.
  • Develop innovative solutions based on thorough research and technical expertise.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years as an Engineer.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred.
  • Valid State Driver's License.

Working Conditions:
Travel may be required, and non-standard work schedules could be necessary. Candidates may be exposed to extreme conditions and inclement weather, and may need to work at heights exceeding thirty (30) feet, underground, and in confined spaces.
