Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary technical authority for New Generation Projects, serving as the main liaison with Owners Engineers to review project documentation and ensure seamless integration.
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership to project managers on intricate topics, enhancing their understanding of potential impacts on project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical specifications, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project scope and the interaction of various systems and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineering teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications, operability, maintainability, and safety standards.
  • Assist Contractors and Construction Coordinators in acquiring existing plant documentation necessary for design and installation tasks.
  • Coordinate engineering inspections for new equipment, materials, and contractor-installed systems to guarantee adherence to requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead walkdowns, generate punch-lists, and actively participate in system inspections to ensure project integrity.
  • Develop detailed plans, specifications, and reports related to the design and construction of new facilities or the maintenance of existing ones, addressing equipment and operational issues through field investigations and design coordination.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing comprehensive guidance and training to enhance designs, systems, processes, and schedules.
  • Effectively managing conflicts to deliver optimal solutions aligned with company objectives, while assisting management in resolving escalated issues.
  • Influencing engineering and design processes to optimize project outcomes, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Creating and updating engineering standards, policies, and guidelines to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Engaging with regulatory bodies and government agencies as required.
  • Serving as a resource for team members, offering technical direction and oversight.
  • Leading assignments, prioritizing tasks, and participating in project management activities.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on the implementation of metrics, processes, and procedures.
  • Interacting with the public, developers, and officials on matters related to zoning, construction, and engineering.
  • Delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Focusing on operational aspects while providing leadership to junior engineers.
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources for medium-sized projects.
  • Reviewing proposed changes to engineering standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with engineering practices.
  • Conducting field surveys and creating visual aids for projects, employing originality and technical expertise to solve problems.

Qualifications:

  • Lead Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience. Professional Engineer designation is required.
  • Senior Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a PE; Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience. A valid Driver's License is necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Potential travel and non-standard work schedules may be required.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions and possible work at heights and in confined spaces.

Safety Commitment:

  • All driving positions are considered safety-sensitive and are subject to drug testing. Compliance with safety regulations and guidelines is mandatory.
  • Uphold safety standards and adhere to the organization's Drug Testing Plan.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and work independently in complex situations.
  • Extensive experience in engineering initiatives, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and analytical capabilities.
  • Licenses and certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) License required for Lead Engineer role.
