Position Overview:
HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support for our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Engineer will be instrumental in systems development, integration, testing and evaluation (T&E), and risk management related to modernizing and maintaining cryptographic key handling and associated security management for defense aircraft and similar systems. The role includes:

  • Formulating and executing system engineering protocols to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  • Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
  • Conducting comprehensive system-level analyses and evaluations to confirm proper integration and functionality.
  • Creating and reviewing technical documentation, including system specifications, design blueprints, and testing protocols.
  • Offering technical mentorship and support to team members.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards across all systems.
  • Engaging in design reviews and technical discussions to verify requirement fulfillment.
  • Managing technical risks and identifying potential challenges.
  • Overseeing cryptographic key management systems.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 7 years with a Master's; or 4 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate; or 13 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in systems development, integration, T&E, and risk management for defense aircraft modification programs.
  • Required expertise in cryptographic key management systems engineering and integration.
  • Possession of an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in systems development, integration, T&E, and risk management related to modernizing and sustaining cryptographic key handling and security management for defense aircraft and similar systems.
