Position Overview: Electrical Engineer for New Generations Project
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in our New Generations Project at Solvenow Inc. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support the execution of innovative generation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical authority for New Generation Projects, collaborating closely with Owners Engineers to review project documentation and ensure seamless integration.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to project managers on intricate topics, enhancing their understanding of potential impacts.
- Demonstrate proficiency in technical specifications, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project scope and system interactions.
- Work in tandem with design engineering teams to guarantee compliance with technical specifications, operational efficiency, maintainability, and safety standards.
- Assist Contractors and Construction Coordinators in acquiring existing plant documentation necessary for design and installation tasks.
- Oversee engineering inspections for new equipment, materials, and contractor-installed systems, ensuring adherence to requirements and industry standards.
- Lead walkdowns, generate punch-lists, and participate in system inspections to uphold quality assurance.
- Develop detailed plans, specifications, and reports for tasks related to the design and construction of new facilities or the maintenance of existing ones, addressing equipment and operational challenges through field investigations and design coordination.
Role Complexity and Responsibility:
This position encompasses diverse and complex responsibilities that extend beyond assigned duties. Utilize advanced skills across various domains, managing issues that impact business operations both within and outside the department. Make independent decisions that influence policy and strategy significantly.
Essential Qualifications:
- Lead Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Professional Engineer designation is required.
- Senior Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a PE with at least 5 years of related experience. A valid Driver's License is necessary.
Work Environment:
- Potential travel and non-standard work schedules may be required.
- Exposure to extreme conditions and the possibility of working at heights and in confined spaces.
Commitment to Safety:
- All driving positions are considered safety-sensitive and are subject to drug testing. Compliance with safety regulations and guidelines is mandatory.
- Uphold safety standards and adhere to the organization's Drug Testing Plan.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
- Ability to lead, direct, and work independently in complex situations.
- Extensive experience in engineering initiatives, managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and analytical capabilities.
- Licenses and certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) License required for Lead Engineer role.
