Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Parts Advisor IV to join our Service team at Rivian. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless parts delivery and inventory control across our service locations. This role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, process optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, stocking, and distribution of parts to ensure accurate and timely delivery to our service teams.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in our inventory management processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of parts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Regional Parts Specialists, Technicians, Advisors, and local Management to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Training and Development: Train and guide other team members on inventory management best practices and processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve common discrepancies in parts procurement, review transactions for human error, and collaborate to improve processes.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with technicians and leads to promote clear communication channels and resolve issues.
  • Inventory Control: Physically and systematically receive parts and/or allocate backorders, and utilize the Rivian BIN scheme.
  • Documentation: Utilize and navigate Rivian's proprietary systems, including SharePoint, Warranty Manual, Write It Right, and other relevant documentation.
  • Quality Control: Demonstrate and execute daily counts, understand the intended use of the tool, and ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Pay and Benefits: Understand all pay types (Goodwill, Customer Pay, Internal, etc.) and use cases, and provide exceptional service to all customers using Rivian's Guiding Principles.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree or team leadership experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Exhibits patience, empathy, attention to detail, and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Physical Demands: Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 85 lbs.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and speak fluent English.
  • Age and Availability: Minimum age of 21, and must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of Customer Facing Service, material handling/inventory management or equivalent, experience in a Fast-Paced Environment.
