Part-time Business Educator and Entrepreneurship Advisor

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Business Teacher and DECA Advisor to join our team at Spring Education Group. As a Business Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching an Introduction to Business course to high school students, while also serving as a mentor and advisor to our DECA chapter.
Key Responsibilities- Teach an Introduction to Business course to students, preparing them for participation in the DECA chapter
- Attend and participate in weekly DECA meetings, as well as local and travel competitions to support student success
- Implement the CTE Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments to display your passion for the subject and educate students at an internationally competitive level
- Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum Teachers to form a community of smart, talented, and interesting people who are passionate about their work and willing to work in a professional and academic environment
- Guide student behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect, and individuality in all students
- Must have a CTE credential or Single Subject Credential (or be able to prove that you are enrolled in a program and working towards this certification) in one of the following approved areas: Business and Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Services; Hospitality and Tourism or a Single Subject Credential in Business or Home Economics
- Have deep knowledge of and passion for the subject taught
- Able to create a positive classroom community and build relationships with students
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents
- Open to feedback and continuous growth
- Creative in instructional and classroom management strategies (high warm and high firm)
- Cooperative, collaborative, supportive, flexible
- Has a strong work ethic and a 'do whatever it takes' mindset
