Key Responsibilities:

As a pivotal player in the development of independent account business, you will focus on maximizing profitability through both new client acquisition and deepening existing relationships. Your role will involve promoting and selling company-branded products while achieving sales targets. You may also assist with customer service initiatives for regional and national chain clients, enhancing the company's visibility and market share. You will collaborate as a team member within the department and the broader organization, fulfilling any duties assigned to best serve the company.

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities by analyzing sales territories and individual client needs; sample products to current and prospective clients; devise comprehensive sales strategies, including time and territory management; tailor sales approaches for individual clients; and deliver impactful sales presentations.
  • Continuously increase sales and profit margins to meet established financial goals.
  • Establish new customer accounts by determining pricing structures; collaborate with the Credit Department for initial approvals; coordinate with other personnel for order processing, deliveries, etc. Conduct initial follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction with deliveries and products.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by providing outstanding service and collaborating with other personnel to address and resolve client issues. May be required to make deliveries in urgent situations.
  • Enhance business with existing clients through product penetration to maximize the profitability of individual accounts.
  • Mitigate accounts receivable challenges by monitoring compliance with credit terms and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about pricing trends within the sales territory, particularly regarding market-driven and commodity products, to maintain competitive pricing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.

Minimum of 24 months of sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.

Valid Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Sales/Marketing, or a related field preferred.

3-5 years of experience in foodservice sales/marketing and/or restaurant operations preferred.
