Position Overview

The Maintenance Engineer is tasked with ensuring the optimal condition of the property, minimizing disruptions for guests and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct repairs on the hotel's air conditioning systems, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and motor replacements.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment, such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
  • Monitor and record necessary equipment readings.
  • Test and maintain cooling towers.
  • Manage the replacement and programming of televisions as required.
  • Replace light switches, outlets, bulbs, and fixtures.
  • Carry out furniture repairs and pump replacements.
  • Address plumbing issues, including clogged drains and pipe repairs.
  • Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams effectively.
  • Trace and repair various water lines.
  • Troubleshoot and fix kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes in all maintenance work.
  • Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
  • Paint designated areas and repair sheetrock.
  • Maintain and repair various wall coverings.
  • Manage the hotel’s electronic lock system, including repairs and programming.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with experience in a hotel or similar environment. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred. Completion of trade school or college coursework in a related field is advantageous.

This role may require flexible hours and the ability to perform heavy lifting, including exerting over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds regularly.

Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with all levels of staff.
