The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that includes Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.

The KLA Services organization collaborates with our field teams and customers across all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services.

proactive management of tools to identify and enhance performance; expertise in optics, image processing, and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams, and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as the "system driver" for the RAPID reticle inspection system. This involves coordinating tool time, maintenance, support engineering projects, and tool recovery. The system driver will technically sustain, support, debug, enhance, and maintain tool uptime, ensuring availability for engineering projects.

Demonstrates expert-level problem-solving capabilities. Ability to determine root causes and provide a Plan of Action (POA) and resolution. Identify appropriate troubleshooting methods to quickly resolve engineering tool issues.

Responsible for Services Engineering Tools activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing highly complex capital equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance or recovery tasks using established procedures.

Act as the technical lead on system issues.

Resolve the most complex problems and determine the technical understanding required; consult with PSO, Design, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, and host meetings with multiple teams to discuss technical issues and determine the POA.

Support Design Engineering in testing and qualifying new designs.

Requirements:
Ability to understand and logically solve problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems.

Experience working on electronic systems within the semiconductor, medical devices, defense, aerospace, or aviation industries is advantageous.

Outstanding interpersonal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical tools.

Occasional domestic and international travel.

Windows and Unix background is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.
