Impact of the Intelligence Specialist:
- Gather and evaluate information from open source platforms as well as Federal, State, and local law enforcement, the intelligence community, foreign governments, financial institutions, and technology firms.
- Identify intelligence sources to bolster law enforcement initiatives and conduct assessments to determine behavioral patterns and identify potential threat actors.
- Possess knowledge of digital forensic analysis and apply sound forensic methods to assist in threat investigations utilizing the internet and digital devices.
- Familiarity with forensic tools and techniques to recover and assess metadata from various sources, collaborating with analysts to identify steganography and recover deleted or corrupted data.
- Adhere to proper evidence handling procedures, document processes and findings suitable for criminal investigations, and prepare detailed reports.
- Utilize cyber intelligence tools and software to search and gather publicly available information from the internet and dark web to identify threats against government personnel and operations.
- Prepare formal assessments and briefings for government leadership, ensuring clarity and logical conclusions.
- Collaborate closely with government liaisons to enhance communication, leverage agency resources, and capture best practices.
- Support protective missions by coordinating with law enforcement and providing proactive analysis for various operations.
- Conduct training sessions for government personnel on the criminal intelligence process to enhance overall mission contributions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and professional advancements to apply in work assignments.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 4+ years in intelligence operations supporting law enforcement; expertise in all source analysis; understanding of darknet ecosystems; experience with cyber tools for intelligence gathering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various OSINT research tools.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to apply analytical techniques; establish and maintain relationships; gather and present factual information.
