POSITION TITLE: Outreach and Recruitment Specialist

ROLE SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Vice President of Training Programs, this role focuses on the outreach and recruitment of clients for pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship initiatives. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, client-oriented, and thrive in collaborative environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Outreach and Recruitment Specialist will implement the outreach and recruitment strategy for ANEW's training programs. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting recruitment and informational workshops at the training center and within the community.
  • Maintaining a schedule of outreach activities, including community events and workshops.
  • Participating in job fairs and community exhibitions.
  • Assisting in organizing special events, including donor and volunteer appreciation gatherings.
  • Coordinating partnership meetings to enhance ANEW's outreach efforts.
  • Collecting and processing enrollment forms for the applicant pool.
  • Conducting intake interviews to evaluate eligibility for ANEW's training programs.
  • Responding to inquiries regarding available programs and services.
  • Engaging in targeted recruitment within underserved communities.
  • Collaborating with the training team to transition clients from recruitment to training.
  • Fostering relationships with existing and potential partners.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in targeted recruitment within diverse communities.
  • Familiarity with employment placement services for various demographics.
  • A commitment to social justice and an understanding of the challenges faced by underserved populations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a growing nonprofit environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Completion of a background check.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proof of eligibility to work.
  • Continuation in this role is contingent upon meeting performance objectives and funding availability.

WORK LOCATION: This position may require travel and is eligible for hybrid work arrangements upon agreement.

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, non-exempt role, typically requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

REPORTS TO: Director of Strategic Partnerships

SALARY AND BENEFITS
This position offers an hourly wage based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and participation in a 401k plan after a probationary period, along with additional employer-paid benefits.
