About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Community Engagement. This is a unique opportunity to lead our community engagement efforts and make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies and plans that center equity and prioritize the needs of historically underserved communities.
  • Work collaboratively with technical team members to ensure that community engagement plans are integrated into project development and delivery.
  • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative surveys to seek community input and feedback.
  • Lead and support client meetings, including the development of agendas, meeting materials, and taking notes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to build trust and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Review and analyze engagement activity participation, effectiveness, and outcomes to inform future engagement strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in community engagement and public involvement.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience in community engagement, public involvement, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective community engagement strategies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate public discourse around technical topics and communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with project management tools and databases.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for the mission of WTS International and commitment to our values.
Working Conditions

This is a hybrid role that requires occasional travel to community meetings and events. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will be highly responsive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
