Project Context:
Food insecurity remains a significant challenge for many students. A substantial percentage of students at higher education institutions face issues related to food access and stability. Member Duties:
  • Assist in the daily management of the food pantry's operations.
  • Guide students in accessing pantry resources.
  • Provide support to students facing food insecurity, acting as a primary resource on campus.
  • Collaborate with community partners to strengthen the pantry's mission.
  • Engage with advisory committees to set goals and strategies for the pantry.

Qualifications:
  • Experience or interest in food security, community service, or related fields.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and social media.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for supporting others.
  • Commitment to educational equity and inclusion.
  • Eligibility to pass a national service background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Education level: AA/BA or some college experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, naturalized citizen, or lawful permanent resident.
  • Commitment to fulfilling all service hours required.

Service Commitment:
  • 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings or weekends.

Benefits:
  • Education Award upon successful completion of service.
  • Living allowance provided.
  • Access to childcare and healthcare, if eligible.
  • Loan forbearance for federal student loans.
  • Hands-on training and professional development opportunities.
  • Networking possibilities and community impact.
  • Access to campus resources.
