Key Responsibilities:
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for patients, acting as an advocate by delivering outstanding customer service. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Managing new patient registrations, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently.
  • Answering phone calls professionally and accurately documenting messages.
  • Coordinating the Provider's schedule by scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments.
  • Verifying patient demographic information and collecting necessary insurance details.
  • Collecting copays and outstanding balances prior to patient visits.
  • Scanning essential documents into the EMR system.
  • Monitoring fax communications and ensuring proper documentation is attached to patient charts.
  • Maintaining office supplies and ensuring the front office area is organized and clean.
  • Upholding the confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
  • Participating in team meetings to discuss office operations and necessary changes.
  • Administering customer service surveys during patient check-out.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or customer service environment.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer operations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and EMR systems is preferred.
Working Conditions:
