Position Overview:

The Patient Service Specialist plays a crucial role in the management of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and rehabilitation services. This position is responsible for the delivery, maintenance, collection, and instruction of medical equipment to patients, ensuring they understand the proper usage. Additionally, the specialist assists in completing patient account information forms and, when necessary, collects payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on oxygen concentrators and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and state regulations.
  • Maintain and repair medical equipment as needed.
  • Complete health screening physicals and carry the required medical card while on duty.
  • Participate in random drug and alcohol testing as mandated.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School Graduate or Equivalent GED

Credentials:

Valid Driver's License - State of Florida

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a standard shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional weekend work may be required, and on-call duties are part of the role.
