Position Overview

The Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team is in search of a Supplier Compliance Pilot to join our efforts in ensuring that all project quality objectives are achieved, managing launch schedules and deliverables, and facilitating the transition to quality volume production.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess product and process design and assembly at the geometric level of the assigned scope (Management of Quality Assurance Fixtures).
  • Engage in the formulation of the geometric monitoring strategy at the assembly line.
  • Accountable for achieving geometric quality during the industrialization phase prior to mass production.
  • Document component and assembly quality challenges, contributing to the resolution of issues among design, part conformity, and manufacturing.
  • Conduct analyses, identify quality enhancement solutions, outline pilot actions for each issue, and facilitate communication to ensure adherence to BCI KPIs.
  • Applicants should be proficient in interpreting part dimensional data and resolving interior fit and finish challenges.
  • High-level presentations will necessitate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and effective communication skills.
  • This role will coordinate activities with other company divisions such as HMI, Corporate Quality, Supplier Quality, and Perceived Quality as they relate to Interior Execution.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field (Materials/Chemical/Civil/Aerospace) from an ABET accredited institution.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive sectors related to Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and/or Product Quality.
  • Familiarity with APQP/PPAP and Supplier Quality Manual.
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis and metrology principles, as well as Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Understanding of defect resolution, escalation processes, and follow-up procedures.
  • Knowledge of metrology principles and a solid grasp of statistical analysis and process control.
  • Comprehension of vehicle design, assembly, and process control.
  • Familiarity with tooling and in-plant processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to develop an action plan and drive procedures for issue resolution.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines while working with cross-functional teams.
