Cooling Systems Product Engineer

The Cooling Systems Product Engineer will focus on the design, development, validation, and launch of cooling components tailored for electrified vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee a range of cooling components throughout various phases of vehicle development.
- Lead the initial packaging and development efforts to achieve cooling performance goals.
- Coordinate activities related to CAE, design, prototyping, and testing, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers to guarantee manufacturability and monitor progress to meet design maturity and milestone objectives.
- Assist in vehicle assembly and testing, addressing any component-related issues that arise.
- Manage quality concerns and explore cost-saving opportunities post-launch.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Entry-level candidates may be considered, though a minimum of 1.5 years of experience with cooling or HVAC components is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to lead and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Proficient in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to suppliers and corporate vehicle assembly plants as needed.
- Solid understanding of cooling systems and components.
- Proactive communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with CAD design and spreadsheet applications.
- Experience in creating and implementing component and system DFMEAs and DVP&Rs.
- Knowledge of client systems and products is advantageous.
- Experience with powertrain software and controls.
- Background in cooling and vehicle-level testing, including data acquisition.
- Familiarity with INCA or similar bus interrogation tools.
- Experience with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) quality tools.
- Working knowledge of UG/NX CAD systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited program.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage supplier relationships.
- Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant experience, with consideration for high-potential entry-level candidates.
- Driving of company vehicles during assignments is required.
- Travel requirements are less than 20%, primarily for supplier visits and assembly plant support.
- Position may offer a hybrid work arrangement.
